A Rededication service was held on July 23rd to mark the completion of repairs to St Mary Magdelaine's Church over the past months. During this time extensive renovations have been carried out. The roof was removed so that faulty timbers could be replaced and the tiling. Many of the original tiles that could be re-used have now been replaced along with reclaimed tiles of a similar age. This work has been done so well that it is now hard now to tell that it has happened!
The money need to carry out these repairs has been raised by many years of dedicated fundraising by parishoners and by generous bequests.
Phillip Marsh repaired the churchyard wall where an accident damaged it some years ago.
And masons Denis and Steven Mansfield replaced a Mullion stone and repointed the tower.
